Lady in the car.

I was driving down the road minding my own business. Pulled up to a stop light. I glanced at the car next to me. In it I noticed an older lady on Oxygen. I kind of felt for her having to cart around the oxygen tank everywhere. I don't think she was more than 50 years old. I just couldn't think about being in that condition at the age of 50. Being dependent on Oxygen in order to live. Then something remarkable happened. Just before the light turned green I noticed the lady proceed to light a cigarette. Yes, she smokes. Hmmm maybe the reason she was on the oxygen was because of the cigarettes. More importantly doesn't she know that Oxygen is flammable. Not only was she endangering her life but she was indirectly endangering mine. Now I don't think that the explosion would have hurt me but if we were driving down the road then KABOOM her car could be in my line and cause me to swerve into on-coming traffic and continuing to get uglier. To make things evenmore surprising it turns out that the lady is a nurse! She should know better.

What do you think?

How funny! It's amazing how hypocritical people can be!

Hmmm... she sounds like a really sharp one! I smoke (stupid, yes) but I would like to think that if I got to a stage where it was OBVIOUSLY affecting my health (yes, I know it is/will. I'm a smoker, we're a little stupid at times) I'd stop.

What I do know is that i would not smoke near a flammable substance - just like I won't smoke near babies or my non-smoking friends. They are less likely to explode - true - but there are some things you just shouldn't do.

I'm glad you survived her idiocy. I really hope she's taking care of me next time I'm gravely ill!

You both can smoke while she has her oxygen tank with you. Then maybe some excitement will happen. Just kidding I wouldn't want anyone to put themselves in harms way.
